Through this portal, you can reserve a barbecue area free of charge. On site, you will receive a refundable deposit token for your grill. Grilling on the barbecue areas is not permitted without this token.
The Neuer Hain barbecue area is particularly busy on weekends and public holidays. To protect the park and local residents, the following rules must be strictly observed:

Barbecuing is only permitted on the designated stone grill platforms and only until 10:00 p.m. Barbecuing outside these designated platforms is not allowed.

Only one barbecue grill with a minimum height of 30 cm (12 inches) may be placed on each grill platform. Park rangers and the Public Order Office regularly monitor compliance. Violations may result in fines.

Each grill platform is intended for a maximum of 10 people. Due to the high demand for the barbecue area, we kindly ask larger groups to choose another location (for an overview of barbecue areas in Berlin, click here). Larger celebrations and gatherings (e.g. company or club events) are not permitted in order to protect the park and nearby residents.

If the barbecue area is already fully booked, we expressly ask you to find another location where barbecuing is permitted.

To receive a barbecue permit, you must bring a large garbage bag so that waste can be disposed of properly in the designated bins and to help reduce litter. Please place all your waste in this bag and help prevent litter from being left around the barbecue area. Garbage bags can also be purchased for €0.50 at the Neuer Hain kiosk.

The use of highly flammable fire starters that produce excessive smoke is strictly prohibited.

Reservations can only be made online through this portal. Reservations cannot be made by telephone or email.

On-site, you may rent a maximum of two beer table sets (table with benches) by presenting a valid ID showing your registered address and leaving a €50 security deposit. Rented beer table sets must be returned as agreed. Online reservations for beer table sets are not available.

In case of rain or bad weather, the Neuer Hain kiosk will remain closed, and no barbecue permits will be issued.
Please help keep the park clean!
Dispose of your waste in the designated bins or take it with you when you leave.

How does it work?
Book your barbecue spot online at:
www.neuer-hain.de
Collect your grill token for 20 € with an ID,
or for a 50 € deposit at the Neuer Hain kiosk.
Place your grill directly on the stone slab of your barbecue spot and attach the grill token visibly on the grill.
Collect your deposit back at the Neuer Hain kiosk when you return your grill token.
The barbecue lawn is located to the right of the park path and kiosk (see below).
Subject to availability, you can rent beer table sets on site.
Rules for Your Barbecue Enjoyment
Grilling is permitted with a prior booking at www.neuer-hain.de and with a deposit grill token from Neuer Hain.
The grill token must be attached directly to the grill, clearly visible.
Grilling is only allowed on the designated stone slabs of the barbecue spots.
Grilling is only permitted with standard grills that have a minimum clearance of 30 cm from the ground.
The grilling surface must not exceed 0.5 m², and only one grill per group is allowed.
Only charcoal may be used as fuel for grilling. Gas grills are also permitted.
The use of highly flammable accelerants is prohibited. Only solid fire starters are allowed.
Grilling large, whole animal products is prohibited.
All waste and ashes must be disposed of in the designated containers or otherwise removed from the park in an approved manner.
The grill token must be returned no later than half an hour before sunset. The deposit for the grill token will be refunded if the grilling rules are followed.
